5 Nov 2024

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, and Prof. Dr. Fatma Ahmed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, a delegation from the Faculty paid a field visit this morning, Tuesday 5/11/2024, to Al-Maimoun Primary School with one classroom located in Al-Maimoun Village, Al-Wasta Center, Beni Suef Governorate, as part of the comprehensive medical development awareness convoy of Beni Suef University within the presidential initiative, A New Beginning for Building Human Beings.

The visit witnessed welcoming the children and distributing some candy, colors, coloring pages and colored papers to the children. The visit also included teaching the children some principles of drawing and coloring, as well as how to use the principles of origami (paper folding) to obtain some simple models of animals and birds to develop artistic skills and creative thinking among students. This is to confirm the important and great societal role that the Faculty of Applied Arts can play in improving the general taste of the recipient, because art is beauty and the desire for it elevates the human being to positive human values.

The visit, thanks to God, witnessed a great turnout and welcome from the children and great praise from the teachers and those responsible for the school. The convoy was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamed, Head of the Interior Design and Furniture Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohi El-Din from the Industrial Design Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Noha Sultan and Dr. Nahal Ibrahim Mohamed from the Printing, Dyeing and Finishing Department, and the student / Abdullah Hafni from the Industrial Design Department.
