Activities of the Workshop on Waste Recycling

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgod, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Diaa El-Din Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Fatima Ahmed Hussein, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Applied Arts hosted a workshop on waste recycling on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
During the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohy El-Din, Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Design, presented a number of his works in the field of recycling plastic and metal waste. He provided a detailed explanation of the different types of plastic, how their waste can be utilized, and how recycling them can be used in some of the displayed products, which helps preserve the environment and its resources in the pursuit of sustainable development.
Additionally, Prof. Dr. Fatima Ahmed Hussein, Professor in the Department of Interior Design and Furniture and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, selected a range of ideas for recycling and utilizing various types of waste and implemented them into functional products with both aesthetic and utilitarian value, with the participation of students from the department.
