Activities of the “Say No to Bullying” Seminar

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Diaa El-Din Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, and Prof. Dr. Fatma Ahmed Hussein, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Applied Arts at Beni Suef University organized a seminar titled **“Say No to Bullying”** on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Ghada Atef, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physical Education, Director of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit, and Dr. Jumana Ramadan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Deputy Director of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit. They highlighted the concept of bullying and its various forms, including psychological, physical, and cyberbullying, through detailed explanations, video clips, and slides. The seminar also addressed the concept of harassment, its types, ways to confront and deal with it, and legal aspects clarifying potential penalties for both bullies and harassers.
The seminar witnessed strong attendance and engagement from students, who expressed their appreciation for the scientific content, especially given the prevalence of bullying and harassment as negative phenomena in society. The event emphasized the importance of raising awareness and educating students about the dangers of such behaviors.
